"Da Nam Records" has the largest volume among the Chinese documents handed down in Vietnam. It is the most important historical material for studying the "Zhongxing" of the Le Dynasty in Vietnam, the relationship between the Nguyen Lords, Zheng Lords and the Nguyen clan regimes in Xishan, and the establishment and hereditary rule of the Nguyen Dynasty. This book focuses on the historical materials related to China's southwest border, taking into account historical materials on the relations between China and Vietnam as well as Vietnam's maritime and land border and ethnic historical materials. It pays special attention to the relevant historical materials on the northern provinces of Vietnam bordering China's land border and the relevant historical materials on the Chinese and overseas Chinese living in Vietnam, in order to maximize the macro perspective of border research.
