"Echoes of the Abyss" is a dark fantasy novel that combines Cthulhu-style horror with the challenge of infinite survival. The protagonist of the story, Ling Ye, woke up in an abandoned charity hospital and found that he had lost all his memory. There was a black countdown mark on his wrist that kept beating, and the cold rules broadcast echoed in his ears. He soon discovered that he was not alone. Several other "candidates" who were equally confused were also trapped here. And the hospital is not empty - "things" wearing blood-stained nurse uniforms and wearing weird smiles are wandering in the corridors. They are extremely sensitive to sound and blood. Breaking the rules means instant and horrific death. In order to survive, Ling Ye must cooperate with the survivors, explore the crisis-ridden hospital, find clues, decipher the truth behind the rules, and try to survive until dawn. However, they soon discovered that the rules themselves were full of contradictions and traps, and the horrors hidden in this hospital were far from simple. Abandoned wards, gloomy morgues, logs recording crazy experiments... Everything points to a horrific past and a more dangerous present. As the exploration deepens, Ling Ye gradually realizes that he seems to be different. The marks on his wrist, the occasional whispers in his head, and his abnormal perception of certain "echoes" all hint that it was no accident that he was involved in this abyss game.
