The protagonist Cheng Yao had a very real dream within a dream. In the dream, she witnessed several murder cases. After the murderer of each case was found, Cheng Yao would wake up and go back to another dream. After repeating this cycle several times, she finally woke up in reality. When she really woke up, she discovered that she had been in a vegetative state. Later, when moving, Cheng Yao found her childhood diary, and then she remembered that those so-called dreams were all imagined when she was a child.
