Those folk whispers handed down from time. When I was very young, my grandma told me many stories that she heard when she was a child. They may be about clever children fighting for wits and courage, or about toads who can talk and get wives, or about mothers turning into cows, and so on. These stories are not printed in books and it is unclear which dynasty or generation they come from. They are just like the grass on the field ridges, which grow one after another in ordinary days based on the words of the older generations. I was afraid that they would fade away with time, so I wanted to write down these stories one by one while my grandma was still here. The stories in the book are still the same, but I imitated my grandma's tone and added some light in her eyes when she told them, and added some tenderness hidden in the pauses that she didn't say in full. I want to keep it so that when my child is on my lap, I can hear the stories from my great-grandmother's time. I also want more people to know how much warmth of ordinary life is hidden in those folk tales that have not been printed into books.
