Novels published in Jianyang, Fujian Province play an important role in the history of Chinese novels. This book discusses the development process and unique themes and version characteristics of novels published in Jianyang from the perspective of regional culture. The book is divided into three modules. The introductory part explores the relationship between Fujian's geography, history and culture and Jianyang book engraving as a whole. Chapters 1 to 3 analyze the situation of Jianyang novel printing in the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties. Chapters 4 to 6 explore the cultural background of Jianyang novel printing from the perspective of history telling, gods and demons, public cases and other themes. This book uses a method that combines document research, literary research, and cultural research, and is based on a large number of engraving documents. From the perspective of regional culture, it analyzes the reasons for the formation of the historical appearance of Jianyang's published novels and its significance to the development of the history of novels.
