"Jade Tea Blossoms: New Selections of Tang Xianzu's Plays" includes modern adaptations of Tang Xianzu's "Four Dreams of Linchuan", namely "The Peony Pavilion", "The Purple Hairpin", "The Handan" and "The Nanke". The screenwriters are all local writers from Fuzhou City, Jiangxi. In addition, it also collected seven scripts in total, including "The Peony Pavilion" and "Tears on Jade Tea Blossoms", which were newly created by Fuzhou local writers and screenwriters and wrote about the life story of Tang Xianzu, as well as the film and literary script "Tang Xianzu". These plays interpret Tang Xianzu and his classic masterpieces through different art forms, and have touched the world and inspired lives through hundreds of performances in various places. 2016 Is the 400th anniversary of the death of Tang Xianzu, as well as the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare. The national commemoration activities for the 400th anniversary of Tang Xianzu's death will be very grand and international. Publishing modern adaptations of Tang Xianzu's classic plays and stage plays of his life events can inject Tang Xianzu's spirit into the connotation of the times.
