"Glimmer in the Alley" is set in Fu'anli, an old city, and tells the story of an old man living alone, Chen Jing, and a young embroiderer, Lin Xi, who became friends over a bowl of tofu. Chen Jing guards the old alley and misses her deceased daughter Lan Lan. Lin Xi's appearance is like a ray of light, not only finishing Lan Lan's unfinished embroidered gardenia handkerchief with needle and thread, but also slowly melting the ice in Chen Jing's heart. When the news of demolition broke the tranquility of the alley, the two learned to reconcile with the past while reluctance to let go of the past and expectations for the future. They also understood that love and care are never blocked by time or distance. The story hides warmth in the ordinary daily life, and in the fireworks of the old street, it tells the story of ordinary people's watchfulness and inheritance.
