The story takes place in 2060 AD. Thirty years have passed since humans started using robots for work and the robot era began. The protagonist Yang Zimo is a 23-year-old graduate student majoring in artificial intelligence. By chance, he entered the XM Company's Robot R&D Department as an intern. During the human brain-machine interface test, he accidentally entered the H Company's Robot Control General Data Virtual Network (referred to as the H Virtual Network). In the virtual network, he encountered Han Xiaowu (Han Waner) came to collect robot fragment data in the virtual network. The two accidentally triggered the virtual network security protection system and were chased by the system's data cleaning program. In a closed data corner of the virtual network, the two accidentally entered a closed data space. Here they saw a piece of historical data that had a profound impact on the development of the relationship between humans and robots from 2044 to 2046. After the two left the virtual network and returned to the real world, Zimo returned to the TX laboratory where his parents used to work. Although the laboratory had been abandoned for nearly 14 years, this was a place that had a great influence on Zimo's growth. When he was a child, his parents always brought him here to work and educate him. When his parents had accidents and the laboratory was abandoned, Zimo often came here to reminisce about his parents and do some small experiments.
