The whole book uses a completely realistic style of writing to tell a story. The contemporary story is divided into three main lines - "The Mystery of Cross-Stitch" is a story about a cross-stitch enthusiast with suspense as the mainstream; "The Love of Cross-Stitch" is a love story about cross-stitch that spans half a century; "The Soul of Cross-Stitch" is an inspirational story of contemporary "post-80s" youth, and is a story based on the establishment and activities of a cross-stitch forum. The specific plot of this book is purely fictional. The three main lines unfold in parallel, but each of them can be strung together to form a complete story.
