She was running, running towards him, her schoolbag bumping behind her, her knees hitting the gravel road. She was not crying, but there was something scarier than crying in her eyes. "Zi Shi!" Her voice broke, like a crack in porcelain, "Zi Shi!!! Look at me!! Don't close your eyes!!!" He could only watch as her face blurred bit by bit, like a painting soaked in water, with the colors blurred and the outline melting. Zishi closed her eyes. What follows is a long period of darkness. It is an absolute, complete darkness, like the darkness before the birth of the universe. No sound, no temperature, no weight. He wasn't sure if he still existed, he wasn't even sure what "existing" meant. Zishi opened his eyes suddenly and gasped for air, like a person who had just been fished out of deep water. But when he raised his head, he knew it was no longer a dream. In front of him was a door. The door was so high that he couldn't even see the top when he raised his head, and so wide that his line of sight had to move a full 180 degrees from left to right. "Where is this...?"
