I once asked the Buddha what a demon is, and the Buddha said, "Those who mess with the common people, block the avenue, and ignore human feelings are demons." I thought about it again and again, and thought about it again, and said to Buddhism, "The devil laughs at the world, abandons the powerful, wanders in troubled times, and lives alone; looks at the Spring and Autumn Period, cuts off grudges, soars in the prosperous age, and helps the world. If you don't lock yourself in your heart, then you are a devil." The Buddha was angry and called me a fool. I said, "Those who sit alone in a high hall and look down at the common people are gods and Buddhas. Those who wander around the world and look into the future are demons. Let's see how I can prove this demonic path in this prosperous age and look at this common people."
