"Research on the Poetry Examination System in the Tang Dynasty" attempts to examine the specific regulations on poetry examinations in various official selection examinations in the Tang Dynasty, explore the origin of the poetry examinations in the Tang Dynasty, and outline the general poetry examination system in the Tang Dynasty through detailed and comprehensive research on various historical materials, notes, anthologies, etc. It constructs a complete system of poetry examinations in the Tang Dynasty; regards poetry examinations as a unique "political-literary" phenomenon, explores the system, norms and characteristics of poetry examinations from the perspective of literary and moral politics, and establishes an independent evaluation system of imperial examination poetry; at the same time, using the mentality of literati as an intermediary, it deeply reveals the relationship between the poetry examination system and the society, politics, and literature of the Tang Dynasty, and evaluates its role, status, and influence. In addition to the introduction, "Research on the Examination Poetry System in the Tang Dynasty" is mainly divided into eight chapters, which provide a comprehensive investigation of the Tang Dynasty's examination poetry system from four aspects: its origin, basic appearance, stylistic characteristics and influence.
