Starting from the perspective of combining historical clues and logical clues, this book combs the study of Zuozhuan in the Qing Dynasty using a comprehensive and case-based approach. It roughly reveals the development process of Zuozhuan study from its revival in the early Qing Dynasty to the rise of Zuozhuan textual criticism, which mainly uses exegetical textual research methods, and then to its gradual transformation into modern times driven by the Jinwen School and the Guokusui School. It reflects the obvious stage characteristics and major achievements of Zuozhuan study in the Qing Dynasty.
