"Shengjing Times" is a treasure house of modern Northeastern literature, publishing a large number of poems, reflecting the prosperity of the Northeastern poetry world at that time. These poems have the characteristics of the era, region and Sino-Japanese exchanges, reflecting the gathering of talents and cultural prosperity in the Northeast in the late Qing Dynasty. Among the groups of Northeastern poets reviewed in this book, there are many famous ones. For example, Zhang Yuanqi, a Fujian poet and Fengtian Civil Affairs Envoy, whose poems, essays and deeds were frequently published in newspapers, are very contemporary. There are also Japanese and Chinese poems such as Miyazaki Laijo and Mori Huainan, which shows the background of the Japanese office of "Shengjing Times" and the realistic cultural and political environment of Northeast China at that time.
