Everything started with a discovery by Shinra Corporation. In the dark underground city, Shinra's famous scientists discovered a kind of life that arrived on this planet from an alien galaxy - Jenova. This kind of life was originally a disaster in the universe. Its purpose of coming to this planet is to destroy this planet. However, the people of Shinra Company kept it and used it for research and even conducted experiments on living people. They found that this type of Jenova cells can enhance human physical fitness after being implanted into the human body. Therefore, the Shinra Company used it to cultivate a group of special soldiers, the God Warriors.
