The author interviewed 18 Japanese people related to the "World War II". Among them were Japanese veterans who were forced to join the army and were sent to the Fushun War Criminals Management Center after the defeat. They then changed their minds and worked hard to testify about the war until their death; some were Japanese who joined the Eighth Route Army by chance; and some were Japanese after Japan's defeat. Japanese veterans who returned home smoothly because of their conscience, took the initiative to repent, and longed for redemption; there are also some Japanese, although they are only descendants of Japanese soldiers, but because of their troubled consciences, they are willing to fight for lifelong friendship between China and Japan... They expressed their repentance for the war of aggression against China and their yearning for peace.
