After the death of my wife, the 40-year-old "I" moved into a nursing home next to a mountainous area filled with sadness. This realistic place that was as clean as snow but also cold, became the starting point for "I" to sort out my life. Here, "I" met an eighty-year-old veteran. There was an absurd but heavy past hidden in the old man's cloudy eyes: he had participated in the war of aggression. After an artillery bombardment, the consciousness of an enemy soldier unexpectedly merged into his mind. Along with it, there were also the soldiers' memories that had not dissipated. And "my" memory is like a deep forest, hiding the past intertwined with three girls when I was young. The snow-cold reality and the forest-like complex memories are intertwined. The trauma of war spans generations. The redemption and struggle of human nature collide in two lines of time and space. The fate of "me", the veterans, the girls and their wives are also tightly intertwined because of this dusty past.
