On the night Cao Zhen went to Gaopingling, Yang Ju and his friend Cao Liang fought with Sima Yi's men and secretly plotted to assassinate Sima Yi. The plan was eventually exposed. Yang Ju fled to Shu and Cao Liang was killed. After the Sima family took charge of the government, Yang Ju appeared in Wei and sighed and finally committed suicide (the novel is fictional).
