Shi Dajian

133K0

This book takes as the research object the activity of reciting Chinese cultural classics that once withdrew from the stage of history, has been dormant for eighty years, and then re-emerged. It uses resource mobilization theory as a research perspective to explore the social mobilization mechanism of the rise of classic recitation. How were the material resources mobilized for the rise of Chinese cultural classic reading activities? How are member resources mobilized? How are discourse resources mobilized? Through nearly a year of fieldwork, the author of this book uses the three research dimensions of resource mobilization theory to reveal one by one the process and mechanism of the three main types of resources used by social elites to actively mobilize Chinese cultural classic reading activities, and further reveals the deep background factors such as social transformation, the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and the profound traditional cultural heritage of the rise of this cultural phenomenon.
