In 2023, in Jiangzhou City, three deaths tainted with strange fragrances opened the curtain of evil that had been sealed for twenty-six years. During the investigation, Interpol Captain Zhou Yan gradually uncovered the horrifying puzzle of truth: a laboratory for cultivating human eyeballs was hidden in an underground air-raid shelter, the lullaby sung by arsonists lingered in the scent of sage in the old city, and the current secretary's perfume formula contained tar ingredients that were exactly the same as those at the fire scene. When Shen Zhao discovers that his olfactory memory has been implanted with false fragments, and when Zhou Yan uncovers the same vetiver essential oil used by his wife before her disappearance in the physical evidence, the two have to face a cruel choice in the maze of smells - should they uncover the "olfactory sacrifice" conspiracy that can destroy the entire city's civilization, or continue the cover-up and make everyone an accomplice?
