The Eight Great Essayists of the Tang and Song Dynasties, that is, the eight major essayists of the Tang and Song Dynasties, include Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan of the Tang Dynasty, and Su Xun, Su Shi, Su Che, Wang Anshi, Zeng Gong, and Ouyang Xiu of the Song Dynasty.
