This is one of the latest revised editions of the "New Curriculum Standards Series". It is compiled from the original "Selected Chinese Historical Stories" and "Selected Foreign Historical Stories", and basically deleted one-third of each. The revised new version is half Chinese history and half foreign history. The stories have been carefully selected and are more representative. The word count is around two hundred thousand.

This is one of a series of new Chinese language curriculum standards. It is composed of the original "Ancient Chinese Fables" and "Modern Chinese Fables". The original version of "Ancient Chinese Fables" is relatively old, with only one-third of the chapters retained, and the story content has been rearranged; "Modern Chinese Fables" has added some more classic chapters, so that the new version of the story is more classic and more readable.
