旭日残阳:清帝退位与接收清朝
Sang Bing
This book is a collection of eight articles in total that Professor Sang Bing has published in academic journals over the years. The political revolution in the late Qing Dynasty was a major drama in modern history. This book uses the "rising sun" as a metaphor for the emergence of the Republic and the end of the monarchy. It focuses on the game competition between various forces in the turbulent Chinese political arena during the half year or so from the Wuchang Uprising to the abdication of the Qing emperor and the founding of the Republic of China, which is the historical process of the Revolution of 1911 in a strict sense. During this time, Sun Yat-sen and Yuan Shikai were competing in the political arena, and it could be said that they were rivals.

走进共和:日记所见政权更替时期亲历者的心路历程(1911-1913)
Sang Bing
This book is one of the author's four parts about the era of great transition. It focuses on the mentality of those who experienced it before and after the Revolution of 1911, and their observations on the drastic changes in the political system, state system, and social nature. The author returns to his old aspiration, and with the help of the eyes and ears of the diary owners who have vastly different temperaments and political opinions, he re-experiences the changes of the times along the course of history, and deeply understands how all kinds of people faced the great changes, adapted to the situation, and adjusted themselves under the turbulent times of the revolutionary era. Trying to gain a foothold in the process of the new era so that it can be used to some extent can, on the one hand, supplement the vision of big history and enrich the images of history. More importantly, it can help change the way of understanding history and restore the difference and activity of human beings as historical subjects.

In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, there were many famous academic figures and numerous excellent works, but the existing research is still quite insufficient. "Scholars and Academics in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China" starts from the specific historical situation and pays attention to the front and rear of the text. The discussion is from the whole to the specific, and from the macro to the details. It provides an in-depth analysis of the new history of modern China, the orthodoxy and factions in academic history, and the impact of sociological anthropology on history. It also strives to give a comprehensive account of the academic exchanges, society activities and academic debates at that time. The writing is concise and powerful, allowing people to appreciate the charm of academics and scholars in the complexity of history. The academic history research path revealed by the author is undoubtedly quite inspiring and worthy of careful consideration by those who are interested.

大处着眼:持久战与《论持久战》
Sang Bing
The protracted war was a pivotal and overall issue during the Anti-Japanese War. "On Protracted War" is an important work that systematically expounds the military strategic principles of the Anti-Japanese War. Where does the idea of protracted war come from? Why did Mao Zedong write "On Protracted War" and to whom? How do various domestic forces understand protracted war? What are the differences between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in their strategic approaches to protracted war? How to fight a protracted war, how to get to the "end", and how long will it take? Etc. The author provides an in-depth explanation of these issues.
