In a deserted city in Ukraine in the late 1990s, five talented teenagers were linked to different abilities by mysterious genetic experiments. The leader, Artyom, has a premonition about the fragments of the future: they must rush to the heart of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. On the way to the Duga radar station on a snowy night, the pursuers detonated their abilities in advance. Artyom, who was dying, discovered that their supernatural powers came from a secret Soviet project trying to decipher time and space. And the escape itself was actually a historical replay of their consciousness being deliberately retained after their "death".
