For the first time, this book brings the literary creations of the Jinlianchuan feudal literati in the Yuan Dynasty into the research field, and considers them to be a distinctive part of the development of Chinese literature. Most of the literati in Jinlianchuan Domain were elites in the fields of Confucianism and literature from Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei and other places in the late Jin Dynasty. In addition to integrating northern and southern academics and concentrating on the study of classics and history, they also dabbled in practical knowledge such as farming, medicine, divination, and ephemeris to benefit the world. Their academic, cultural and literary opinions directly affected the cultural policies of the Yuan Dynasty. The literary research of Jinlianchuan feudal literati is very helpful to the still weak research on the poetry and prose of the Yuan Dynasty, and also provides a solid research foundation for in-depth discussions on the pattern and development trend of the literary world in the Yuan Dynasty.
