Sisters
General Fiction姐妹
Red And Black
"Sisters" is a novel written by Zhu Mo. Tao Jiang and Tao Ran are sisters. They are eight years apart and have very different personalities. The year their parents divorced, their lives had different foreshadowings. Whether to stay in your hometown or go to a big city, whether to get married early and have children or work hard for your career, whether to swallow your anger and take care of your family or be unruly and be yourself, whether to enjoy a sweet bond or pursue the freedom of loneliness... The dilemmas that women always encounter in life are also the issues faced by the Tao sisters. The two sisters chose different directions at every stage of their lives, and therefore lived completely different lives, each with its own scenery and its own price. They misunderstood each other and quarreled, but they never gave up on each other. The dozens of emails they exchanged were the mark of their growth and allowed them to finally understand each other's choices and re-understand the meaning of home. The experiences described by the two sisters in the first person are also the real lives of ordinary women. The psychological distortion caused by the preference for sons over daughters is passed on between generations, turning women from victims to perpetrators; independent single women, although successful in their careers, still face pressure from family and society in marriage and love... The author does not stop at describing reality, but seeks to transcend. The years-long correspondence between the sisters allows readers to see that there is not only jealousy and secret wrestling between women, but also firm support and protection, and more importantly - mutual understanding.
