"Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary" is a Chinese reference book listed as a key project of the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" by the National Language Working Committee under the initiative and guidance of the famous linguist Lu Shuxiang. The dictionary took more than 100 experts and scholars 12 years to complete.
