The materials compiled in this book are the news reports of the JoongAng Ilbo about the time when the Lytton Investigation Team was investigating the truth about the Sino-Japanese conflict in the Far East. The time started in February 1932 when the Lytton Investigation Team left Europe and started its trip to the Far East, and ended in September of the same year when the Lytton Investigation Team left China and returned to Europe and before the release of the investigation team's report. These news materials reflect the investigation activities carried out by the Lytton Investigation Team in China and Japan, mainly in China, as well as the report written by the Lytton Investigation Team. They also reveal the changes in the attitude of the Chinese government, people and public opinion towards the Lytton Investigation Team. In addition, this volume also includes some of the negotiations between China and Japan on issues such as tariffs in Northeast China.
