Through comparative observation and research on the urbanization process between China and the West, this paper discusses the cultural issues in the urbanization process, advocates the construction of small towns with cultural characteristics, and calls for maintaining the nature, authenticity, simplicity, tranquility, warmth, and comfort of small towns in order to effectively resist the impact of Western culture and retain a trace of the roots and fire of Chinese culture.
