Gu Shu is popular in Nanyang. Ye Wu was abducted and sent to Zhang Yixie's tent. Zhang Yixie is a Nanyang magician who specializes in sorcery. In order to help wealthy businessmen raise ghosts, he plans to train Ye Wu into the most ferocious little ghost and tailors the cruelest death method for him. Ye Wu later escaped and practiced the forbidden technique. Unfortunately, he used the technique improperly and regretted it for the rest of his life. Later, he robbed tombs and discovered the method of the ghost way, and once again practiced the retrograde way, known as the Five-leaf Patriarch. The story begins with Wuye.
