"The Man Who Saved the Driver" is a time-travel novel that combines imagination and love. The protagonist of the story is a young man named Ling Qiyuan, who accidentally fell into a country called "Nanxia Kingdom", which was a small southern country during the Tang Dynasty. He traveled through the past and the future and witnessed human civilization and emotional entanglements in different time and space. During the expedition, Ling Qiyuan met all kinds of characters, some of them were battle-hardened generals, some were eldest ladies with weird personalities, and even his lover. As Ling Qiyuan experienced the past step by step, he began to understand that the journey to Nanxia Country is not simply the past, but the cornerstone of our identity and personality, the interweaving of our emotions and reason, and the link between us and the world.
