Human beings generally refer to the absence of light as darkness. In fact, darkness is two different species. Black is an untouchable creature. People have always believed that black is a scary species, and Muzi thought so too. Under the leadership of Nao Qiao, people who can see Hei form a team to eliminate Hei, and they are called Black Killers. Later, Muzi's grandfather Zhi Qiao suddenly stopped killing the blacks and dismissed the blackslayers. Not long after, both Zhiqiao and Muzi's parents died. Muzi's grandmother, Zhi, took the young Muzi to live far away. Those who killed black never saw black again. As one of the few people who can see black, Muzi avoids black while following the instructions given to her by her grandfather to drive away black for those who are about to die.
