Hong'an, formerly known as Huang'an, is the birthplace of the famous Jute Uprising, an important birthplace of party organizations and the people's army, and has written a glorious chapter in the history of the party.

In the territory of the People's Republic of China, a township with only more than 500 square kilometers has produced 26 red generals.
