Pay attention to real life and care for left-behind children! The story takes place in 2004. Jia Mingguang, a junior high school student, grew up with his grandparents. He had to come to live with his parents because he was expelled from school for fighting with his classmates. The long-term separation led to an unusually alienated relationship between parent and child. His parents, who wanted him to be a successful child, originally wanted him to go back to school, but he insisted on going to work in a factory and even ran away from home. Eventually, he went astray because of his friendship with some socially undesirable young people. "A Long Journey" focuses on the psychological description of the young protagonist, depicting a left-behind child's completely different emotional attachment to two generations of elders, as well as his rebellious behavior in adolescence.
