The beauty of Suzhou lies in the water of Taihu Lake. Taihu Lake has vast expanse of blue waves, and the water and sky are the same color. Taihu Lake is extremely rich in aquatic products, with swarms of fish and shrimps. Among them, whitebait is the most famous delicacy. It was recommended as a tribute in the Qing Dynasty. Together with plum bream and white shrimp, it is known as the "Three Treasures of Taihu Lake". The lake is dotted with islands, some are large or small, some are high or shallow, some are majestic and steep. Or ethereal nothingness. There is a small island in it called Dongting Dongshan. To be precise, Dongshan is actually a long and narrow peninsula extending into Taihu Lake. The scenery on Dongshan Mountain is picturesque, with tea green, plum purple, fruit yellow and orange red.
