This book explores the outline, spirit and evolution of poetics in the Republic of China. The poetic discussions of Chen Yan, Wang Bijiang, Qian Zhonglian, Qian Zhongshu, Wu Mi, Yang Zhongxi, Sun Xiong, Zhang Taiyan, Liu Xianxin, Xu Shichang, Guo Zeyuan, Lian Heng and other first-class figures in the Republic of China are all covered one by one. That is to say, seeing the big from the small, tracing the origins, starting from the poetics of the Tang and Song Dynasties, and going down to the Tongguang style, Xuan style, Xikun style, and late Tang style in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, all of which were analyzed very carefully. The poetic spirit of the Republic of China is fully revealed.
