Based on the complex relationship between enlightenment modernity, traditional Chinese culture and early Chinese Marxism, this book restores the intersection, collision and distillation process of multiple cultures, and studies the internal logic of Li Dazhao's construction of early Chinese Marxist literary theory in the dual narrative of modernity knowledge and ethics. It focuses on Li Dazhao's theory of multicultural harmony, the "scientific nature" of Marxism, literary ideology, civilian literature, literary humanism, the relationship between enlightenment and national salvation, etc. On this basis, we explore the basic points and paths of mutual penetration, mutual construction and transcendence between Chinese Marxism and Enlightenment modernity, and put forward our own innovative insights.
