The story takes place in Hangzhou, with a narrative style of black humor and irony, telling the story of several women's survival in the workplace. Their different growth experiences and different value backgrounds are like invisible pushers that lead them to the direction of life they choose.

"1980" is the name of an era, that is the era when I was born. "Small town" is a microcosm of an era, that's where I was born. The pots and pans, firewood, rice, oil and salt there, the alleys there and the stories in the alleys all remain in my memory. I wrote them out and recalled some fragmented fragments of my childhood. That inconspicuous alley cannot be written into history or retained in memory, but the people who lived in that alley, their conversations, laughter, and noises are all engraved in my mind and flowed into my blood...!

There is a mountain where I was born, and there are many stories on that mountain. I have compiled these stories together. There are gods and mortals;
