盛唐长安的国家乐伎与乐舞
Mu Weisheng Zhang Weishen
The national music and dance institutions in Chang'an during the prosperous Tang Dynasty were divided into two major systems: one was the Taiyue Department and the Propaganda Department under the jurisdiction of Taichang Temple ("South Ya" system); the other was the palace teaching workshop and the "Emperor's Liyuan" run by the eunuchs ("Beisi" system). Taichang music and dance has a distinct political etiquette nature and is mainly used in conjunction with the national "Five Rites" ritual system. The royal palaces of the prosperous Tang Dynasty accommodated entertainment "secular music" (Baixi), and the musicians and performers first served the emperor and concubines, followed by the princes, nobles, and civil and military officials. The "Emperor's Liyuan" is the imperial music institution. The author provides a detailed and systematic interpretation of the above-mentioned institutions.
