This manuscript is an original novel. The novel takes the opportunity of a reporter being ordered to investigate an old case and takes readers to the eve of the Battle of Crossing the Yangtze River. The underground party instigated a general uprising in Nanjing code-named "Jinling Spring". Unexpectedly, at this critical moment, the main figure of the uprising, Luo Shiying, mysteriously disappeared, and the uprising was aborted. The entire incident became an unsolved case. After investigation, the truth gradually emerged. Not long after the Tai Chi Society, the main body of the uprising, was established, it was discovered by the Kuomintang military commander. Many forces sent people to drive a wedge in, and for a while, the undercurrent surged and became complicated. In the end, the uprising failed and the leading figures were killed, but these reckless heroes made their due contributions to the battle across the river and the occupation by the People's Liberation Army.
