"Eleven Beggars Under the Dragon Robe" tells an absurd epic buried in the dust of history. In 1896, Britain humiliated the Qing Dynasty with a football match note. In order to protect the face of the Celestial Empire, Cixi issued an order to form a representative team. Minister of the Interior Gui Xiang was ordered to turn the selection competition into an exchange of power and money. He recruited a number of weirdos such as the son of the Minister of Household Affairs, Mongolian wrestling Belle, a famous opera actor, a Caogang thug, and even an old weaving supervisor to form the "Qing Football Representative Team". The idealist Guo Baosheng was appointed as the head coach and was deeply disappointed when he witnessed this ragtag group of people turning the training ground into a ridiculous farce.
