I first met Wu Yinyi at a popular literature and art seminar at the Chengde Summer Resort in the mid-1980s. At that time, he was still a budding "literary youth". Over the past twenty years, he has published nearly ten novels, edited many TV series, won many awards, and held titles such as "National People's Congress Representative", "Deputy Director of the Municipal People's Congress", "Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles", and "Vice Chairman of the Provincial Writers Association". He has written many books and is famous far and wide. He is a "literary prince" with great achievements. Now that he is sixty-six years old, he has returned to work and is working as a professional writer at home. The last time I met Wu Yinyi was in March of this year (2012), at a meeting held by the Chinese Writers Association. At the launching ceremony of the "Biography Series of One Hundred Chinese Cultural Celebrities", Wu Yinyi accepted the task of writing "The Biography of Chen Zi'ang" and happily returned to his hometown in Sichuan to write.
