Lin Shen, the tower keeper, stayed here alone for twenty-two years, until one day, the radio signal of the Virgo galaxy experienced an impossible and abnormal attenuation. He eliminated equipment faults and used five observatories across the solar system to confirm that a darkness called the "eclipse zone" was swallowing up all electromagnetic waves and rushing towards the solar system at a speed of several astronomical units per day. However, the bureaucrats at Earth Headquarters pressed his report into files. The rulers of the six star regions secretly built Ark spaceships and prepared to abandon nearly 10 billion people and escape alone. They even deliberately increased active detection and accelerated the expansion of the dark erosion zone, just to cover up their escape with doomsday panic. Lin Shen made the truth known to the public. When the bright light of the Ark's jump ignited the dark erosion zone, human civilization only had two and a half years of countdown left. He chose to stay at the end, launch the detector, and record the epitaph of civilization. Eight hundred years later, his descendants received the signal and finally understood that the eclipse zone was not destruction, but the universe's last chance for civilization - to ascend in dimension or disappear forever.
