"The Gray Bird Disappears at the End" is a collection of short stories and short stories. This book contains a total of 20 works created by the author in recent years. This is a novel with a clever structure and stories within stories. "The Soul of the River" has a total of five chapters and is divided into three parts. It tells the story of "I", a new farmer in the new era, who established a professional apple cooperative to lead the villagers out of poverty and become prosperous, and traces back to the organization of Zhang Hongye, a middle-aged man, along the river during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The six villages established the prototype of a joint-stock enterprise "Liu Gutou" by combining the old stories of dry land boating, thereby condensing the consistent spirit of the Yellow River and the soul of the river, and demonstrating the spiritual power of the people of Hukou who are "simple, pure, tolerant and tolerant, tenacious and innovative".
