"Where Is a Foreign Country" records the author's reflections on traveling between Eastern and Western cultures, half of which are overseas experiences and half of which are thoughts of returnees. It aims to provide a useful perspective for friends who are preparing to go abroad, telling them that life abroad is by no means so beautiful, but it is not that difficult either. At the same time, it also enhances the confidence of those friends who are preparing to return to the country or have already returned to the country. They don't know where they are in a foreign country, just because they are home everywhere. The beauty of big and small cities in the author's words does not lie in the delicious food, beautiful scenery or historical vicissitudes of the past, but in the colorful feeling that comes from the process of examining and enjoying beauty outside the surroundings. It is the precipitation and harvest of intentionally or unintentionally shuttling between Eastern and Western cultures.
