In this book, the author records his own personal experience of the arduous Antarctic scientific expedition. As the doctor accompanying the inland team of China's 25th Antarctic scientific expedition, he and the team members overcame numerous difficulties and successfully reached Dome, the highest point on the Antarctic ice sheet. A successfully established the Kunlun Station; he completed medical support and medical research tasks under extremely difficult conditions; he drove a snowmobile throughout the journey into the ice cap, and took the initiative to "guest" as a chef, mechanic, photographer, etc... The author faithfully recorded every bit of the 130-plus days with a voice recorder, and authentically put it into words. From his records, we can appreciate the vastness of the ice cap, the solemnity of the icebergs, the leisure of the seals, and the laziness of the penguins; we can also feel the hardship of working in special environments, sometimes even filled with cruel despair and helplessness.
