Based on documents and oral materials, combined with multidisciplinary methods such as folklore, modern and contemporary literature, literature and art, anthropology, ethnology, etc., This book reviews the field of knowledge production of folk literature from 1949 to 1966, introduces "national discourse", analyzes and explains the construction of folk literature theory, the construction of folk literature criticism system, the development of ethnic minority folk literature, folk literature and socialist new literature and art during this period, correcting the previous academic bias against the insufficient theoretical construction of folk literature from 1949 to 1966.
