嘉兴城南：从马家浜文化、南湖人民公社到成为现代化城区

The Chengnan area, located on the southern edge of Jiaxing, has transformed from the early rural wilderness of Jiangnan into a modern new urban area and has become an important part of the main urban area of Jiaxing. In this process, from form to pattern, from function to structure, the evolution of Chengnan has been clear, showing the characteristics of diversity and completeness. This book was compiled by a Chinese urban history research team led by Professor Ma Xueqiang. With the theme of "Jiaxing South", it enriches and expands the content of Jiaxing urban history research through a long-term, multi-perspective investigation of the south area. Looking at the entire Yangtze River Delta region, we can provide samples for the "Chengnan phenomenon" and "Chengnan development type" in Jiangnan. In a deeper sense, combined with the research on the local practice of Chinese-style modernization, on the bank of Nanhu, one of the birthplaces of the Communist Party of China, whether it is the Nanhu People's Commune in the era of collective economy, or the Chengnan Street that integrates modern urban areas, the discussion on the path of socialist construction, from developing agriculture to pursuing industrialization and urbanization, some of the practices and experiences are worth summarizing and can provide useful reference for the modernization construction of some places. This also highlights the practical significance and social value of this manuscript.
