Qiantang River was known as Jiang, Zhejiang and Jianjiang in ancient times in Zhejiang Province. Among these three names, I prefer the word Zhijiang. It is tortuous yet stretching, simple yet profoundly poetic. Where is the source of the river? Starting from Hangzhou, we trace back the river basin. From the map, this river has a confluence point of three rivers in Maocaolong Village, Meicheng Town, Jiande. These three rivers are Xin'an River, Lanjiang River, and Fuchun River. The three rivers converge here. If the source of Xin'an River is traced back to the Fengcun River in Liugujian, Xiuning County, Anhui Province. Tracing the upper reaches of the Lanjiang River is the Qujiang River (the other tributary is the Wuxi River) - Changshan River - Majinxi - all the way to Qixi in Yangtian Village, Qixi Town. It traces from the intersection of Lanjiang River and Fuchun River (Tongjiang) in Maocaolong Village, Meicheng Town, Jiande, to Lianhuajian, Liyangtian Village, Qixi Town, Changshan, a process of more than 250 kilometers. In terms of process, the total length of the upper reaches of the Xinan River is 60 kilometers longer than the total length of the upper reaches of the Lanjiang River.
