Baixiangyan is a small mountain village in the middle reaches of the Kunyu River in Huili East District. It is located at the foothills of Lunan Mountain and halfway up the Trevally River Valley. The rolling bream river flows through the foot of the slope below the small mountain village. There is only one wooden bridge on the river for people on both sides to pass. On the other side of the small mountain village are rolling and towering mountains. There is a small river beach at the foot of the mountain. People on the other side of the river only need to walk across the river beach, cross the wooden bridge and then climb a small slope to reach the small mountain village of Baixiangyan. One to twenty miles east of the small mountain village are the famous Gaji and Gaoke granaries in the East District. After marching day and night, Li Yu, Cai Jianming, and Xu Jiazhong led the second, fourth, and fifth brigades through Jiangzhou over the mountains and arrived at Baixiangyan at noon the next day. The frontline headquarters immediately sent people to prepare supplies and food for going up the mountain.
